well.... remember last year i wrote about my beloved keng who went to Iowa state university to do his research... and also remember i wrote how he called me from the US for my birthday...yuppp... the same mr butterfly is back in bangkok..ohhh what joy to see with him and talk to him... and as i am writing this blog... he's actually sitting in front of me.... smiling, making jokes and laughing... just like old times.... and yes... also talked about sex... (habisla kurus pahala posa I)...
he came back last week... but he went straight to Chonburi.. so i only get to see him on saturday last week when he, i and our classmates went to have lunch at MK... hehehe they all had lunch, I watched them have lunch... posa la.... then they went to Swensens to have ice-cream... and again I watched them have ice-cream.. anyway, it was really fun seeing him and my other classmates (most of them have started working after they finished their masters)
so that's about mr butterfly..

well it's actually a contemporary dance show performed by a dance troupe headed by my friend Ajarn Chantana Iamsakul....the show was good.... well it was the first contemporary dance show that i watched here... masa kat malaysia dulu ada gak tengok afew times... and most of the time... the meaning of the dance was lost to me... it's as if macam show syok sendiri la... but yesterday,.... the show was actually good... i can understand the movement and the theme of the show...the dance was good, the choreography was superp and the story telling was inderstandable.... so all in all good show
cuma yang tak bestnya... just after the show ada upacara sembahyang plak dalam dewan tuh... sorang tok sami datang... started the praying session and the bagi ceramah sket...i just duduk dalam dewan tu buat nothing... and i realised that a few people noticed that i did not sembahyang (ala-ala puja tu lah) and i did not chant some buddhist mantra....whateverrrr...

well last friday i was invited untuk majlis berbuka puasa oleh MuslimChula.. persatuan pelajar muslim chula....so dalam pukul 5.50 tu, i went to the chula Sala Phra Keaw bus stop untuk naik bas no 2 pergi ke student residences... masa sampai kat bus stop tu.. this one guy smiled at me and started talking in Thai....bu i understood what he's talking about sebab dia cakap pasal nak pergi berbuka puasa nih gak.. so we went there together la... after that we started to talk in english and go to the majlis...
hehehehe,... cam boring jer cerita nih.. but what i wanted to highlight are as follows

August Sampling
Saturday, I waited at the department of biology at about 7.30 am... the usual time for us to start our journey to Tak... but Dr Noppadon called to say that we might be a little bit late because Arm (ingat tak budak ni yang i suka.. was not there yet... so the other student called him and voila.... dia baru bangun tido.... so instead of tunggu dia datang ke Chula.. (rumah dia jauh plak tuh... kat area Ram Inthra... tak berapa jauh dari rumah I..) Dr Noppadon decided that we should go there... lagipun memang kita akan lalu kat situ sebab nak jemput P'Noy (ni sorang makcik yang has been very helpful assisting in our research)
The perjalanan pon tak ikut the usual schedule... selalunya the van will stop kat satu restoran yang jual sup babi.... and we always have breakfast there... i tak la makan sup babi tuh... selalunya i bawak my own breakfast.. tapi kali ni, kita tak berhenti kat situ.... instead we stopped an at restaurant a bit further along the route.... to have brunch... restaurant ni sells fish based food.... memang sedap... especially one dish yang dia masak macam rendang (tapi bukan yang kering tuh...) and the main ingredients is fish...my favourite dish so far....
We arrived at Mae Sot a bit late... and there was no frogs waiting for me at Mae Pa (reference site) sebab for the past two days, Dr Noppadon could not contact P'Oy (the owner of the ricefield) untuk suruh her myanmar worker to catch some for us beforehand...so instead we decided to go catch frogs there later that day...we just collected water, soil & sediment samples... while Kla and Nu (another 2 students) started collecting their snails and crabs). Then, as usual, pergi Mae Tao (contaminated site).... ambik sampel air, soil n sediment while Kla n Nu did their things.
Kami sampai kat hotel at about 6.30 pm... about 1 hour later than usual...... rest for only 1 hour.. then go out again to have dinner at 7.30... the boys (Arm, Nu & Kla) as usual, turun lambat sikit... and I think I might have detected a bit irritation in Dr Noppadon about this tardiness.....
Dinner, as usual kat this chinese restaurant where we usually have either Khao Tom (bubur nasi) or Khao Suay (nasi biasa).. and eaten with lauk.. the owner made a mistake of bringing lauk tauhu yang ada babi dalamnya...hehehe.. we had to return them... For this, I really respect Dr Noppadon sebab dia akan check every food yang sampai to our table to ensure that there's no pork or any meat items.... The whole two days we would eat only seafood or eggs
Frog-catching was okay... we did get quite a lot of frogs... and also a lot of big ones... mek sker mek sker....
Next morning, the boys turun lambat lagi... and this time Dr Noppadon tegur depa directly... heheheh first time tengok dia marah.... well not really marah la... just tegur dgn baik.
Sample processing and digestion
This month... I did both in record time.... maybe because I am under a lot of pressure.. ye lah.. banyak benda nak kena buat within these weeks... and I know that I usually do better under pressure.... so true to my form, I finished frog dissection and blood taking for all samples within 2 days... bleyyyy....even I am impressed with this.....
And then I also finished digestion within 2 days jugak.... truly-truly record time... sampai sekarang i still wonder where did i get the energy
Marcus & Maria
I dah ada 2 pets yang baru... sepasang katak Fejervarya limnocharis.. yang i tangkap dari Tak... and i dah sediakan a beautiful aquarium/terrarium untuk kekatak i tuh.. nama depa Marcus (jantan) and Maria (betina)...mrasalah... skang ni dah ada anak plak... tapi kekatak nih i tak letak kat bilik i, tapi i simpan kat ARRI (Amphibian & Raptile Research Initiative) building... sebab kat situ ada orang lain buleh tolong jagakan... hehehehe... dasar mak moden... hantar anak kat nursery jerk..... hehehehe
Doctoral Dissertation Seminar
Almost the whole week from last week, my time was dedicated to this. But at the same time, my sampling was also scheduled for Saturday last week. So, sampling preparation was interspersed with seminar preparation. Memang hectic sangat....
but in the end, I think my presentation was okay... the schedule of presentation pon 3 kali tukar last week.... and in the end, my presentation was rescheduled to be the last presentation on the last day.... hari khamis last week...
I think, I presented okay... cuma ada a few questions that I cannot answer.... I have anticipated that questions... but I dah perah kepala hotak even before the presentation, tapi I really tatau nak explain.... wanna know the problem....
let me try to explain... kalau tak paham.... buat-buat faham je lah
Ok, i have a bimonthly data of various indices eg hepatosomatic index, renosomatic index and gonadosomatic index.... and in every bimonthly data, the trend was good sebab it showed that contaminated frogs had lower indices than uncontaminated forgs... however, dalam all my data... akan ada satu bulan dimana the trend is reversed.. and bulan ni is not the same bulan untuk all the indices.. I was hoping that the professor would concentrate on the general trend that contaminaed frogs has lower indices than the other... tapi somehow.... data dhorjana ni seem to stand up like sore thumbs to the professors.... and as a result... i kena bambu pasal nih....and the best i can reply is that i have no idea how to explain that....
Tapi ada one consolation though.... at last the professors said that it is actually not such a big deal .... sebab nature is not as predictable as we thought of.... and these kinds of discrepancies always happen with environmental data.....so dia sebenarnya understand the problem... dia cuma nak tahu how i would respond if somebody asked about it....hehehehe... but he also suggested that i discuss again with my advisor and try to come up with a plausible explanation....oh well....c'est la vie....
Safari World
the weekend after my disastroud presentation, i asked rina and hasseri to plan to go somewhere... nak release tension... and in the end we ended up planning to go to Dusit Zoo, and then to Wat Arun. And we ajak farhan jugak.....we planned to go there hari ahad....but hari sabtu malam... farhan called and suggested that we go to Ratchaburi naik keretapi... I said ok gak... asalkan rina and hasseri ok gak... he called them and then called me back saying that everybody agrees...so we akan meet kat stesen keretapi at 9.30 am.....(i was informed by him that banyak keretapi yang pergi Ratchaburi nih)... pukul 9.30 kami jumpa kat Hualamphong station, and it turns out that the train left at 9.20 and the next train would only be at 1.20 pm... dalam hati dah menggelegak nih....he did not even bother to check the train schedule....and assume that ada banyak train yang pergi ratchaburi....
so dalam terpinga-pinga kat stesen tuh... dia cakap why don't we go to Safari World.... dia kata the fee cuma dalam 200 baht sahaja.... kami sutuju gak lah...
kami naik teksi pergi kat Thanon Ram Inthra ..... sampai kat sana.. we found out satu benda dhorjana lagi... the fee is 750 baht per person ... bleyyyy..... 75 hengget .. tapi sebab dah sampai, kami masuk je lah...farhan n awek dia baya 450 baht je sebab dia orang thai...dhorjana sungguh....we paid by my credit card.... ye lah tak terfikir plak nak bawak duit banyak-banyak....
we spent time kat situ dampai hampir nak tutup... sebab nak pastikan yang 750 baht tu berbaloi... well, the Safari world was not so bad.... tapi, 750 baht was really not worth it..... rasanya the fee should be around 300-400 baht jerk.. oh well c'est la vie.. lagi....hehehehe
Accident week
this week... banyak accident berlaku to me...let me just list them
asid nitrik tumpah kat tangan and terpercik kat mata....
masa naik bot, i accidentally tersepak orang yang duduk kat depan i... kesian baju dia kotor kena tapak kasut i
last 2 days, i tergelincir masa amik air sembahyang kat masjid Ram.... as a result, the whole day yesterday i could not walk... sakit siott... so i dok kat umah jerk...
and pagi tadi masa nak naik bot, i missed my step and nyaris atuh dalam sungai... nasib baik my hand sempat berpaut pada tali kat sisi bot tuh....
and many other accident kecil-kecil... terseliuh kaki masa berjalan... somehow the frequence increases within this 3 weeks, jatuh... etc etc
Heart 2 heart session with Nyek
2 days ago, nyek call pepagi buta nih dalam pukul 6.30 pagi.. i tengah bersiap nak pergi chula... so we talked... sesi hati ke hati... lama gak kami berbual... and the perbualan then move on to topic of his upcoming visit to Bangkok... yeay....can't wait to see him... AF, kalau nak datang bangkok ngan nyek... dia akan datang sini on the 5th of october rasanya... naik air asia dari narathiwat ke bangkok... joinla sekali.. kita dok reramai kat my room.... abang, akak foxxy, kay... taknak join ker...hehehehe
ok la tu je hapdet kali... panjang sangat dah rasanya kan

Knickers in a twist over Olympic dress code
BEIJING (AFP) – The Olympic dress code applies to places never seen, it seems, with the New Zealand hockey manager banished from the field at a crucial men’s match because officials objected to his players’ underwear.
Kevin Marr was ordered to watch the must-win match against Germany from the grandstand as punishment for three players wearing black undies beneath white shorts in an earlier match.
Initially, the officials wanted to suspend the players involved - Bradley Shaw, Simon Child and Blair Hopping - but Marr successfully argued that was unfair because he was in charge of what they wore.
Under the Olympic field hockey rules, shorts and undies must match, but New Zealand were in their alternate white strip in their earlier match against China and the players did not own alternate white undies.
“They are trying to ensure teams present themselves in the best possible light. I understand where the rule comes from but to suspend players is wrong.”
When the players wore the same undies against Germany it was not an issue for New Zealand, who wore their regulation black uniform, but the colour switch is going to be an issue for the Germans who won 3-1 to make the semi-finals.
The Germans had to switch from their usual black shorts to their alternate red, but with red undies apparently hard to come by they stuck with black underneath.
Marr said he had been contacted by German manager Jochen Heimpel who said the indiscretion had been noticed and his players were initially threatened with suspension from their semi-final.
Germany were likely cop it worse than New Zealand, as a warning was issued to all sides after the Kiwis were caught, and Marr expected Heimpel to face a two-match suspension.

semalam I tak pergi Chula...woke up late... around 10... lepas tu pergi Talad Bang Kapi (tu pasar Bang Kapi la..) dah lama tak makan ikan goreng... so beli la ikan kerisi bali.... and kangkung...
balik umah... start goreng ikan and goreng kangkung... bau memang semerbak la... rasanya the whole apartment building tu boleh bau kot... nasib baik it's morning aand most of the other occupant was not around... most dah either pergi kerja ataupun pergi Ramkhamhaeng Uni (kat sini ramai student RU)... and biasanya bila i masak, i akan bukak pintu depan n belakang.....
tak sangka plak bau ikan goreng yang menusuk kalbu tu.. telah mnjemput satu guest yang tak diundang.....
this guest datang dari tingkat atas.... sebab bilik I depan tangga.. so nampaklah dia ni dengan cutenya terlompat-lompat turun tangga... and then stop about a few feet in front of my door... it's a mouse... and dia stay depan my room for a few minutes... sniffing the air... then i moved to the door.. and dia lari... this turun to floor 5 pulak...
but about 20 minutes later.... dia datang balik.... do the same thing... and then lari bila i approached the door...
tthis happens for a few times....tu dia penangan ikan goreng
then i closed my door....sebab nak semayang zuhur.... and bila i bukak pintu balik.. dia dah tinggalkan souvenir depan bilik i... dua ketul poop dia... hehehe siap bagi hadiah lagi kan... kejiss.... errr ak stop guna keji la... nak guna perkataan baru la.. dhorjana sungguh....
and after that... dia datang and go again for 2 more times....rasa kelakar sangat

dalam movie Ben, a mouse befriended a mouse and become good friend, dalam cerita Willard, this guy befriended mice and uses them to do evil things..
as for me... i don't know which side will i swing... or whether i will swing or not...
because i do not want to be friend with the mouse....
because my mind is set now to have a frog as my pet... heheheheh
idea for the frog aquarium dah ada dah... and Dr Wichase has tried feeding the frog (FLIM) yang i tangkap kat Tak with meal worm... and they eat it... so bulehlah i buat FLIM as my pet....
