MY OUTLET

Outlet.... that's the main reason why I write in this blog.... There are times when I feel that I want to stop doing things and bury my head in the sand, oblivion to the world. But somehow... that will never make the problem go away. Instead I realised that rather than shut my life from others, the opposite is more beneficial. I now know that by opening my heart to others, I also open doors to problem solutions. From now on, this blog will become my "Outlet"... so that these doors will be opened....b>

4KAZONE writes with such an easy pace that makes reading pleasant. A relatively new guy to this blogging craze, he shows some trait that is so much different that the next-door-Joe.

FARAH shows her vulnerable side in her blog... an account of her often tumultuous mood and disposition. It is very interesting to see a contrast between her outside sunny and often cocky manner with her fragile inside as portrayed in her blog

HIMSELF AS A CHILD
(TON EAFTO TOU PAIDI)

(sung by Mario Frangoulis)

He holds his inner child by the hand
Life will take them to the same place tonight
They will return again to the home of their memories
Through the empty seas, through the webs of fear

They'll stand together and they'll see passing by
The minutes flowing like rivers that never grow old
And the faces that transformed themselves
into streets and centuries

When I was a child, I discovered a garden
And found refuge when I needed to be absent from life
When I was a child, I captured the sun
To light my path, to have a friend in my silence

THE BALL STARTS TO ROLL..... takde kena mengena ngan World Cup nih!!!!

Assalamualaikum...

Today's entry has got nothing to do with World Cup fever..... it hasn't got anything to do with ball!!!!

About two weeks ago, I received an offer letter from Ministry of Higher Education stating that my application for a scholarship has been approved. This really means that what I've been aiming and preparing for the last 9 months is now within my hand's grasp. The offer letter really..... really starts the ball in motion. Now, furthering my studies is an actuality... and it's becoming a reality soon... this November.

However, the reality has been sinking quite slowly in my brain.. partly due to the busy and hectic schedule of my work... what with the 6th National Symposiun on Health Sciences and my LI visits to Langkawi, Klang and Cheras. Now that I do not have any major event and tasks cramming into my brain, I was suddenly hit by the reality that I really AM going to Chulalongkorn University this year. I kinda freaks me a bit.... but I assure myself that I still have a good 4 months to prepare.... Aiyoooh boleh ker nih!!!!!

I have a checklist of things I need to be prepared with.... perhaps writing it in this blog may help me remember and prioritize the things I need to do... so here goes.....

  1. get over and done with medical check-up required by KPT .... this should be done by next week..... and since I'll be doing it in HKL, the result will only be obtained two weeks after the check-up.
  2. fill in the Surat Perjanjian with KPT .... I've filled up some parts... so I'll be able to check it clear by next week. This includes looking for a saksi .... I'll ask some of my friends to be my saksi....Boley ye???
  3. get surat perjanjian from Bgh Latihan UKM... yess... I have loads of surat perjanjians to fill up..... Need to contact Kak Intan n Pn Normah to clarify. In this surat perjanjian, I was informed that I may need to find two penjamins.... Ni susah sket la... but I think I can manage
  4. get an official offer letter from Chula. I've asked Dr Manaskorn to send the official offer letter by the end of July. That will give me ample time to ask around on how to apply for student's visa
  5. call Royal Thai Embassy and ask the procedures required to apply for a visa. And after that, as quickly as possible, complete the application. Hopefully, this will be settled by August. I'm sure, the visa application will require more medical check-up lah kan!!!! hmmmmm penat kena check jer la aku nih.
  6. contact Dr Manaskorn to enquire the actual date to register.... this is vital for me to plan my travel later. At this point, I assumed that the semester will start on Nov first... therefore, I would have to travel at least 1 week before the registration date.... about 23 Oct....hari raya beb!!!!! sedeh la cam nih.
  7. sometimes around September, book flight ticket via e-ticketing from Jabatan Pendaftar UKM. I should be getting my flight ticket by October
  8. meanwhile... start looking in the internet for accomodation. I think I'm going to use my one week eligibility from my Legend Worldwide membership to stay at Royal Benja Hotel. Then depending on my success of securing a place to stay, I may move to my rented house or apartments. I've been looking for some cheap studio apartments between 500B to 2500B per month.... and the search so far has been quite encouraging. However, if I do not get any, I may have to settle for the International House at Chula... with a lease of at least 3 months (3500B per month)

Apart from that, I would also have to finalize a few other things

  • finish laporan akhir for research grant. I aim to finish it by next week and send it to Timbalan Dekan P&P
  • update my lecture notes and burn it into a few CDs according to subjects.... I may need to give a copy to En Mubin should the replacement lecturer need my lecture notes
  • deal with my CITIBANK credit card... if possible I do not want to any outstanding balances when the time comes. I may have to leave my BCB ATM card with my sister so that she may help me pay my house mortgage (2 houses) and my insurance coverage (my gaji will still be credited into my BCB account)
  • deal with my developer... regarding my condo in Kajang... if possible I would like to settle everything before I go.... I do not want to have to come back simply to sign anything.
  • start emptying my office... i have a lot of things to clear..... I may have to put my books at my mom's house. I'm contemplating to buy a large book cabinet to accomodate the many books I have.
  • clear everything in my office computer... I need to give it back to the faculty... so I do not want the future owner to be able to dwell in and access the many secret things I stored in my computer. Any important documents, I'll burn it in a few CDs or save it into my laptop. I'll have to return my PC to UKM clean... Yet whomever the future user of this computer, he or she may benefit from the CD writer I installed a few years ago.... I'll sedekah that thing.
  • start making lists of things to bring to Bangkok... I do not want to end up bringing too much or too little. Having said that, I may have to look for a suitable luggage. The ones I have are too small.
  • come October, I need to stop my post-paid Maxis service.... I may have to use the pre-paid option.

BUT MOST OF ALL.... I NEED TO LOOK AFTER MY HEALTH... TAK MO LAH SAKIT-SAKIT BEFORE MY DEPARTURE.

Having said that.....

GOOD LUCK TO ME .....

AND SEE YOU GUYS IN BANGKOK...

PRAY FOR ME... HOPE EVERYTHING WILL RUN SMOOTHLY.

HMMMM DAH MULA NERVOUS DAH NIH... TOLONGGGGGG
